Title: Cocoa Butter Dry Skin Soap
Categories: Soap *
Yield: 1 Batch

OIL BLENDS
24ozOlive oil
24ozCoconut oil
38ozVegetable shortening
ALKALINE SOLUTION
12ozSodium hydroxide
32ozWater
ESSENTIAL OR FRAGRANCE OIL
1/2tsBitter almond
2ozLavender
SUPERFATTING
2ozWarmed cocoa butter

Superfatting occurs after you have created a chemical reaction in your soapmaking pot but before you have poured your mixture into a mold.

At this specific time in the soapmaking process just a few ounces of any warmed (not hot) specialty oil are added.

Superfatted soap is by far the creamiest and mildest of any soap. The secret lies in the fact that the specialty oil does not saponify with the other oils, but rather it remains independent and performs as an emollient in the soap.
